Canon XA65 Professional 4K UHD Camcorder
The Canon XA65 Professional 4K UHD Camcorder is a professional Video Camera designed for high-quality production. It features a 1/2.3-type CMOS sensor with approximately 21.14MP total pixels. Its DIGIC DV 6 processor supports detailed 4K UHD recording. The camera provides 8-bit YCC 4:2:0 colour sampling for consistent video output.
20x Optical Zoom and Advanced Autofocus
A 20x optical zoom lens covers approximately 29.3-601mm in 35mm equivalent focal length. The f/1.8-2.8 aperture supports shooting across varied lighting conditions. The Canon XA65 Camcorder optical and electronic image stabilization helps reduce camera movement during recording. The lens offers a minimum focus distance of 1cm at the wide end. Manual focus, Hybrid AF, face detection, tracking, and touchscreen focus control support precise subject capture.
Professional Recording Formats and Storage
For professional workflows, this Canon XA65 LiveStream Camera provides dual SD card slots for SD, SDHC, and SDXC media. It records 4K UHD at 25P using MP4 or XF-AVC formats. Recording options include 150Mbps MP4 and 160Mbps XF-AVC in UHD. Slow and fast motion modes support speeds from x2 through x1200. A three-second pre-record function helps capture moments before recording begins.
HDMI, 3G-SDI, and Professional Audio Connectivity
The Canon XA65 camera includes HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs for external monitoring and professional video systems. Dual XLR inputs provide 48V phantom power with independent audio control. A 3.5mm microphone input and headphone output support additional audio setups. Its 3.5-inch capacitive LCD touchscreen offers approximately 2.76 million dots. A 0.36-inch EVF provides another framing option for outdoor production.
Live Streaming and Professional Video Production
As a Live Recording Camera, the Canon XA65 suits events, interviews, education, corporate productions, documentaries, and broadcast applications. Its detachable handle includes XLR inputs, a tally lamp, and an infrared lamp. The camera supports USB-C connectivity and UVC functionality for compatible streaming setups. With Canon BP-820 or optional BP-828 batteries, it provides extended UHD recording capability. Its 4K video, optical zoom, image stabilization, professional audio, SDI output, and streaming support suit demanding video production environments.
